Orrin Webb

Devin Basile

Associate Councilman

Devin joined the OH Beta Tau Chapter of Pi Lambda Phi in the Fall of 2008 at Baldwin-Wallace College (now University). As a student, he held the roles of IFC Vice President of Judicial Affairs and President among many other leadership positions around campus. Upon graduating with a Bachelor degree of Science in Education, he went on to receive his Master of Arts in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and held an assistantship in Greek Life and Student Engagement. After his time at IUP, Devin then went on to work for the HQ staff as the Coordinator of Education and Development and was responsible for managing initiatives such as Pi Lambda Phi University and philanthropic programming & fundraising campaigns.

He eventually returned to Baldwin Wallace as the Assistant Director for Student Engagement, overseeing the Fraternity & Sorority Community and assisting with New Student Orientation. Devin now serves as the Senior Director of Programming at Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity overseeing a suite of nationally-recognized programs. He has continued to stay involved with the fraternity by serving as a Chapter Coach for OH Beta Tau and facilitating multiple PLP Leadership Institutes. Devin and his wife, Katie, reside just north of Indianapolis, IN with their two dogs Bear and Mackey and enjoy exploring local restaurants and hiking trails.

Jason Bergeron

Councilman

Jason joined Pi Lambda Phi at the OH Beta Tau chapter at Baldwin-Wallace College (now Baldwin-
Wallace University). Jason currently residents in Houston, TX and has served as the Director of the
Center for Fraternity & Sorority Life at the University of Houston for 11+ years. Jason served as a six-and-a-half-year member of the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors (AFA) Board of Directors, served as Vice President of the Center for Fraternity & Sorority Research, and is actively involved with the LeaderShape Institute as a Lead Facilitator. In addition to being a two-time recipient of the fraternity’s Alumni Certificate of Merit, Jason has received the Stephen Dealph Outstanding Fraternity/Sorority Professional Award from the Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values (AFLV). Jason is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the College of Education at the University of Houston and intends to graduate in 2021.

Shayne Blonder

Councilman

Shayne Blonder is a brother of the MD Kappa Delta chapter at Salisbury University. As a councilman on the UAC, Shayne is excited to work with other chapters on expanding their philanthropies and representing brothers from all chapters.

Andrew Bollinger

Secretary

Andrew joined Pi Lambda Phi in 2009 where he helped recolonize the Pennsylvania Alpha Delta chapter at Temple University and served as the first Rex (President). Andrew holds Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctorate degrees from Temple University. While in law school, Andrew served on the Chapter Advisory Board to the Pennsylvania Delta Iota chapter at Drexel University and helped guide them through the recolonization process.

Andrew is an attorney in the Chicago office of Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr, LLP, a prominent national law firm. Andrew’s legal practice focuses on commercial litigation, higher education, and fraternal law. Andrew has worked on higher education and fraternal cases that have gained significant national attention, and has co-authored several articles in these areas.

Dan Scott, C.K.

Trustee

Dan graduated the University of Illinois in Urbana in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. Dan is a member of the Illinois Tau Delta Chapter of Pi Lambda Phi. While an active undergraduate brother, Dan held the offices of Recruitment Chairman and New Member Educator. He also participated in most intramural sports which included a football championship team his senior year. Dan currently resides in Northbrook, Illinois with his wife and three daughters. He currently practices real estate and personal injury law in his own practice: Chepov & Scott, LLC. Dan served as the President of the Fraternity from 2006 through 2010. Dan was awarded a Council Key in 2008 and the Edward Goldman Alumnus Achievement Award in 2011.

Roger Orloff, Big Pi, C.K.

Secretary

Roger Orloff joined New York Kappa Tau Chapter at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1957. He served as Rushing Chairman, Marshal, and Scribe. He has been Chapter Advisor to Ohio Beta Tau Chapter at Baldwin Wallace University, editor of the national periodical the Tripod, delegate to two national conventions, chapter representative to the National Executive Council and was awarded a Council Key by the International Executive Council.

Recipient of a Bachelor of Management Engineering from Rensselaer and a Master of Business Administration with Distinction from Harvard Business School, he is President of the Acquisition Search Corporation, which advises and assists owners and chief executive officers on strategic acquisitions and on the sale of entrepreneurial businesses to strategic buyers and whose TASCforce Consulting division empowers entrepreneurs to recognize and remove roadblocks to accelerating growth, increasing profitability, building shareholder value, and creating great companies.

Roger lives in Atlanta. He is Vice Chairman of the Rensselaer Lally School of Management Dean’s Advisory Council, Trustee of the Rensselaer Annual Fund Advisory Council and Chairman of its Patroon Society, and has been Vice President of the Rensselaer and Trustee of the Harvard Business School Alumni Associations. The Rensselaer Alumni Association awarded him its highest honor, the Distinguished Service Award.

Shawn Upchurch, C.K.

Councilman

Shawn M. Upchurch is President of Pi Lambda Phi’s Educational Foundation and Vice Chairman of the Elimination of Prejudice Founding Directors. He has been Chapter Advisor, revitalized OH Beta Tau (OBT), established OBT’s Alumni Association, and served as Vice President of Pi Lambda Phi’s International Executive Council. Shawn joined the OBT Chapter at Baldwin Wallace University in 1991 and served as New Member Class President, Recruitment Chair, and Risk Management Officer. Shawn was awarded the 219th Council Key in 2013.

As Founder and CEO of UpSearch, Shawn supports purpose-driven leaders and organizations worldwide. His passion is to embolden leaders to achieve greatness, however they define it. A practicing scholar of emotional intelligence and intentional change theory, Shawn has the unique ability to interpret, simplify, and solve complex issues that unlocks potential often trapped at the intersection of purpose and people. He has advised hundreds of board members, business owners, executives, and aspiring future leaders. Shawn helps leaders achieve lasting change for themselves, their teams, and their organizations by managing intentional change.

Shawn is a life-long student of leadership, emotional intelligence, and equality. He holds a M.B.A (Systems Management) and B.A. (Economics) from Baldwin Wallace University and earned an Emotional and Social Competency Inventory (ESCI) accreditation from Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management. Shawn’s interests include the role of transformational leadership in board governance, civic stewardship, nonprofit leadership, and community building. A father of two premature children, Shawn has broad interests in helping preemies thrive and believes every life has equal value.

Paul Griffin, C.K.

Vice President

Paul joined Pi Lambda Phi as an Alpha Class Founding Father of the NC Epsilon Kappa chapter at NC State University in 1995. During his time as an undergraduate, Paul served as K.O.E, fundraising/philanthropy chair, and on the judicial board. Paul graduated in Spring of 2000 with a B.S. in Business Management. After graduation, Paul helped form the NC State Epsilon Kappa Alumni Association and served as Vice President for two years.

Paul lives in Atlanta, Georgia and works for Verint in Business Transformation. Paul’s interests include politics and travel.

Starting in 2006, Paul started serving the fraternity on an International level as a member of the awards committee. Shortly thereafter, Paul joined the regional conferences committee, then served as the Convention Committee Chairman for a few years. In 2010, Paul became an associate councilman.

Calvin Carie

Assistant Executive Director

Calvin Carie is a 2008 graduate from Vincennes University and a 2011 graduate of Purdue University.  With a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management, he has held roles with Disney, Marriott, NCAA, and Copper Moon Coffee.  He has served as an advisor for the IN Epsilon Gamma chapter at Vincennes University and the IN Alpha Theta chapter at Indiana University, along with serving as a volunteer staff member overseeing convention operations for the past six years.

Jesus Cayado

Coordinator of Chapter Services & Expansion

Jesus Cayado is a 2023 graduate from Florida State University with a degree in criminology and psychology. Jesus first joined Pilam in 2021 when he arrived at FSU because of its profound sense of brotherhood and dedication to personal development. During his time at Florida State University, Jesus served as a Rush Mentor for the Interfraternity Council as well as Chapter President for the FL Epsilon Lambda Chapter of Pi Lambda Phi. His immense love and pride for Pilam have driven him to the national level as he would love to continue to grow the Fraternity and spread Pilam brotherhood across the country.

Travis Collings

Vice President

Travis attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, graduating in 2009 with degrees in Economics and Personal Finance. He later obtained an MBA in Management also from the University of Wisconsin-Madison graduating in 2014. As a member of the Omega Chapter of Pi Lambda Phi, he was KOE for two years then after graduating served as a Chapter Advisor for five years. Travis has worked in a variety of professional finance roles over 15 years spanning financial services, corporate, and operational finance, currently overseeing financial performance for a large North American logistics network. He holds a Certified Financial Planner TM designation and is passionate about youth financial literacy. Travis currently resides in Boston, MA with his wife.

Camillo D’Orazio

Treasurer

Camillo graduated from Drexel University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance and earned his MBA in Finance at Villanova University in 2006. Camillo is a member of the Drexel University Delta Iota Chapter of Pi Lambda Phi and is currently an active member of the Alumni Association holding the title of Treasurer (K.O.E.). While an active undergraduate brother, Camillo held the offices of Treasurer (K.O.E.), New Member Educator, and various other committee roles. Camillo currently resides in Philadelphia, PA with his wife and son. Camillo has been a Financial Services professional for over 25 years and is currently attending the University of Pennsylvania for a FinTech certification.

Jay Doran

This is Jay’s 2nd year on the UAC. Jay currently serves as the Rex of the VA Alpha Psi chapter at Christopher Newport University in Virginia. Jay’s time at Leadership Institute this summer taught him a lot that has prepared him to serve the UAC in new and innovative ways.

Mason Felton

Coordinator of Chapter Services & Expansion

Mason joined HQ staff in December of 2023. He attended Southwestern Community College for an Associates Degree in Fine & Visual Arts and then transferred to Western Carolina University for a degree in Communications with a concentration in Broadcasting. He was initiated into Pi Lambda Phi in the Fall of 2021 as a Junior. While at WCU Mason served as Prolocutor & Rex. He saw the amazing things Pilam could do for people on his campus and wanted to spread that opportunity to as many campuses as possible. He is excited for future expansions and is ready to bring that “Western Carolina Flavor” to the HQ staff. 

Andrew Foray

Associate Councilman

Andrew Foray, VA Omicron Zeta ’17 was initiated into Pi Lambda Phi at Virginia Tech in 2014, and continues to grow his love for the Fraternity. Andrew is currently a Senior Certified Financial Planner working for SignatureFD, a company that believes people want to use their wealth to do something worthwhile – for themselves, those they love, and their community. Andrew has served as Rex (President) as an undergrad, a Chapter Coach and as a Councilman.

Antwann Harper

Councilman

Antwann joined the MD Alpha Omicron chapter of Pi Lambda Phi at Frostburg State University in 2014. He received his Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts from Frostburg in 2015 and subsequently earned his Master of Arts, Higher Education, and Higher Education Administration George Washington University in 2017.

Antwann is currently employed at the University of Notre Dame working with student affairs and coordinating planning for undergraduate students on campus. In addition to serving as an Associate Councilman to the International Executive Council, Antwann has served MD Alpha Omicron as its Rex (President), and volunteered in a number of roles to support the chapter as an Alumnus Brother.

Stephen Varnedoe Jr.

Stephen Varnedoe joined the NC Epsilon Kappa chapter of Pi Lambda Phi at North Carolina State University in 2002 where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Business Management. Steven currently works in the accounting field where he operate his own accounting firm in Southport, NC.

Dave LaBanc

Trustee

Dave is a 1992 initiate into Pi Lambda Phi through the OH Beta Tau Chapter at Baldwin Wallace University. Dave has worked in the college setting for many years. Currently he is a project manager and space administrator at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) where he is responsible for managing renovation and construction projects on Ole Miss structures and assisting with the associated space challenges of campus stakeholders. He has previously spent time working at different schools within the areas of Residential Operations, Advancement, and Alumni Relations. Dave currently resides in Oxford, MS with his wife Brandi and dog Hank.

James Lacey

Councilman

James is a senior mechanical engineering major at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. James has served as his chapter’s Scribe (VP of Communication), Prolocutor (VP of Recruitment), and currently serves as the Rex (President) of his chapter. In his free time you can find James weight lifting, wrestling, and playing chess. He is now involved with the UAC to help aid the development of best practices for chapter’s across the nation.

Juan Lopez

Councilman

Juan joined the FL Delta Chapter of Pi Lambda Phi in the Fall of 2013 at the University of Florida. As an undergraduate Juan served as Recruitment Week Chair, House Manager, Marshal, and two time Rex. He graduated in 2017 with a B.S. in Sport Management with Minors in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship.

Juan has served as an Operations Intern, and Undergraduate Councilman for Pi Lambda Phi. After graduation he went back to his hometown of Tampa, Florida to join Fortune 500 Cintas Corporation under their Management program.

Ian Lowe

Executive Director

Ian is a 2008 graduate from Baldwin Wallace University with a degree in History and Adolescent Education and a 2018 graduate from Lehigh University with a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership. Ian first joined Pilam in 2005 when he and some of his friends sought to restart the Baldwin Wallace Chapter. He enjoyed the process of building a chapter and was in charge of recruitment before becoming President. The Chapter was recognized with many accolades during his time including winning “Chapter of the Year” three consecutive years. As a senior, he was chosen as the recipient of the Rafer Johnson Achievement Award – the National Fraternity’s highest award for an undergraduate member.

Ian has been on staff since 2008 and has worked in every area of Fraternity operations. Ian continues to serve Pilam because he deeply believes the Pilam experience is one that can be transformational and life changing for students – and he wants to help ensure as many students get that experience as possible. He’s been entrusted with helping our Fraternity achieve its Strategic Plan and meet its goals each year. Outside of Pilam, Ian has been a member of the United States Air Force Reserves since 2004 and currently serves as a Captain.

Shawn Mahoney

Author

Shawn was initiated via the Temple University Chapter (PA Alpha Delta) and graduated in 1992. He has more than 25 years of professional experience in marketing, design, copywriting, and digital communications. He served Pi Lambda Phi and the PA Alpha Delta Chapter in numerous roles including Chapter Advisor, Secretary of the PA Alpha Delta Alumni Association, and Pledge Representative to the Social Committee.

Anthony McCloskey

Councilman

Anthony is the current Rex (President) of the PA Sigma Upsilon chapter at Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania. After being initiated in the Spring of 2022, Anthony found interest in greek leadership, which led him to also serving as President of both his local IFC and local Order of Omega. Anthony looks forward to communicating with other chapters as well as assisting them with any needs or advice they might have or need this academic year.

Ted Miller

Councilman

Ted is from Arlington Heights, Illinois, currently studying Electrical Engineering at the University of Wisconsin. Growing up, Ted spent a lot of time playing baseball and working as a caddie, both of which taught him valuable life lessons. Within his chapter, Ted held roles as the VP of Communications and VP of Housing. Ted joined the UAC to play a bigger role in the decisions that impact all chapters and to stay connected with what’s happening at Pilam HQ.

Brian Moore

Director of Operations

Brian joined the HQ staff in June of 2020. Brian attended Eastern Washington University for a degree in political science with a pre-law focus. While at EWU, Brian served two years on the Interfraternity Council as the Vice-President for Interfraternal Relations and the IFC President, two years within the EWU student government as both Director of Elections and Chief Justice, as well as a year as the Vice President for Communications within the WA Epsilon Alpha chapter of Pi Lambda Phi. His passion for the fraternity’s values inspire Brian to want to help grow and expand the mission of Pi Lambda Phi through work with the fraternity headquarters.

Joe Nascimento

President

Joe joined the FL Delta Chapter of Pi Lambda Phi in the Fall of 2002 at the University of Florida. As an undergraduate, Joe served as Secretary and then as Chapter President. Joe went on to law school at the University of Miami and graduated cum laude with his J.D. in 2009. As an alum, Joe has served as the Alumni Association President, Chapter Advisor and President of the Florida Delta House Corporation.

Joe is the managing partner of the Miami-based criminal defense firm, Ross Amsel Raben Nascimento, PLLC. Joe’s practice focuses on high-stakes federal and state criminal matters and appeals. He is also an adjunct professor of litigation skills at the University of Miami School of Law, owns and operates Springs Fitness, a functional fitness studio, and was a longtime member of the Legal Panel and Board of Directors of the Greater Miami ACLU. Joe and his wife Danielle enjoy living in Parkland, FL with their two children Joey and Jack.

Jack Marsh, Big Pi

Councilman

Jack is an alumnus member from our OH Beta Tau Chapter at Baldwin Wallace University. He is a retired journalist and former executive for the Freedom Forum. The Freedom Forum, based in Washington, D.C., is a nonpartisan foundation that champions the First Amendment as a cornerstone of democracy, and is the principal funder of the Newseum and Newseum Institute. Jack is happily married and enjoys being a grandfather.

Kris Reiber

Director of Advancement (Educational Foundation)

Kris is a third-generation and double alumnus of Baldwin Wallace University (2005, 2015), where he was a member of the Ohio Beta Tau chapter. In Ohio Beta Tau he was a refounding father of the chapter, Archon, Chapter Coach, and Vice President of OBT’s Alumni Association. Kris served as a Councilman on the International Executive Council between 2019 and 2022. He began working for the HQ staff as Director of Alumni Relations in September 2022. He then joined our Educational Foundation in September of 2024. Prior to working for the Fraternity and the Foundation, he spent six years working in alumni relations at a university in Ohio. His continued engagement with Pilam stems from the support he received from alumni during OH Beta Tau’s refounding, and, just as those alumni did, living out our motto of “Not Four Years, But a Lifetime.”

In his personal life, Kris is always trying to learn something new, currently exploring longboarding and learning American Sign Language with his kids. Kris shares his passion for travel and of course his love of the Cincinnati Bengals with his wife Mallory, and children Lincoln and Juliet.

Gary Sanders

President

Gary is an alumnus of the PA Sigma Upsilon chapter at Shippensburg University. He is Client Manager for Equus Software offering corporate solutions for moving employees internationally. Equus simplifies the complex world relocating people globally encapsulating shipments, immigration, and tax.

Gary is a former Executive Director of the Fraternity, chapter advisor, and has served on the International Executive Council and numerous committees. He currently lives in Denver with his wife Lisa.

Jonathan Stephens

Jonathan joined the NC Epsilon Kappa chapter of Pi Lambda Phi at North Carolina State University in 2001. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy and Agriculture and his Master’s Degree in Biological and Agricultural Engineering. Jonathan works as a Stormwater Project Estimator at Apex Companies, LLC. He served as Marshall (Vice President of Housing & Risk Management) as an Undergraduate brother.

Cole Villagomez

Councilman

Cole Villagomez is a Junior brother of the NC Delta Zeta chapter of Pi Lambda Phi and a student at East Carolina University. Cole is excited to engage in this leadership position and hopes to successfully implement progressive steps for the brotherhood through strategic problem solving and communication.

Orrin joined the MD Kappa Delta Chapter of Pi Lambda Phi in the Spring of 2012 at Salisbury University. As an undergraduate, Orrin served as the Chapter President. Orrin went on to work for the IHQ staff as an Expansion Coordinator for just under 4 years where he helped create chapters at Indiana University – Bloomington, Pace University, Rutgers University, Hofstra University, University of Pittsburgh, Drexel University, Purdue University, and Virginia Commonwealth University. During this time Orrin built lasting relationships with brothers all across the country.

Orrin is currently the founder of Enmocean, a life-coaching and membership service helping millennials and gen z become fulfilled in their relationships and careers by applying emotional intelligence. Additionally, Orrin is the Senior Business Development Manager at Bonterra, which is the second largest technology company powering social good and social impact. Orrin loves to spend time with his family, reading, and exploring the U.S. National Parks. Orrin lives in Washington D.C. with his wife Jenna and cat Nala.

Daniel Webster

Councilman

After graduating from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley, Daniel began his career in banking at US Bank. He ascended the corporate ranks, earning a promotion to Vice President at 27. During this time, Daniel also continued to pursue his passion for Academics. He invested his free time into helping students of all ages elevate their academics, leadership, college essays and career paths to the next level. All of these students were accepted to Top Universities and went on to continued success in their professional careers. These results inspired the creation of Driven Academics Inc. As President of the Company, Webster’s goal is to inspire, educate, and elevate as many Students as possible. Daniel is also the first non-doctor to serve on the Santa Clara County Dental Foundation Board of Directors. Most recently, Webster joined the Pi Lambda Phi International Executive Council, where he will utilize his leadership experience to increase fundraising and alumni engagement for the fraternity.

Alton Wright

Councilman

Alton joined the NC Omega Beta Chapter of Pi Lambda Phi in 2004 where, as an undergraduate, he served as Marshal and later IFC Vice President for Recruitment. After graduating, Alton volunteered for nearly 14 years as an Alumni Advisor and Chapter Coach for NC Omega Beta. Alton graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health, concentration in Health Policy and Administration, and later earned a Master of Public Policy from Duke University in 2014. He has spent his career evaluating and implementing ways to improve the U.S. healthcare system and currently works as a Sr. Strategic Advisor for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina. Alton lives in Raleigh, NC with his wife, Alex, and their too spoiled dog, Odin, where they try to catch as much of the Tarheels as possible and visit family across the state from the Blue Ridge Parkway to Wrightsville Beach.
