Philly Alumni Golf Outing – Not FORE! years, but a lifetime
In August, more than 50 brothers participated in a regional alumni golf outing at Walnut Lane Golf Club in Philadelphia. Though many out-of-town brothers were slow to adapt to the Philly warning for an errant shot (“YO, MOVE!” instead of “Fore!”), a great time was had by all.
“The event was great and I was so pleased to see such passion for PLP in the alumni from the PA chapters! What a great day!” – Kristopher Reiber ’05, Baldwin Wallace
Dubbed a “Philly” outing, in addition to local chapters Drexel, Temple, and University of the Sciences, there was wide representation from Pilam hackers all over the country, including the University of Florida, Penn State, Baldwin Wallace, East Carolina, Eastern Washington, University of Virginia-Wise, and Hofstra.
After duffing their way through 18 holes, brothers enjoyed a local food staple from Dalessandro’s, a.k.a. “the best cheesesteaks in Philly,” according to Governor Ed Rendell ’65.
Special thanks to Penn State’s Ricky Wolf ’10, for generously donating local brews from Stable 12 Brewing Company, in nearby Phoenixville, PA.
The Fraternity was very pleased with the success of the event and is eager to find opportunities for future outings, regional events, and activities.
