Alumni Call to Action

Brothers,

Pi Lambda Phi needs alumni volunteers and we have many opportunities available. Would you please consider one of the following?

Professional Mentors

This is a short term commitment and on an as-needed basis. A good mentor has expertise in a certain profession and would be willing to speak with graduating seniors looking to pursue work in your respective industry. You’ll answer questions and offer advice as brothers prepare to begin their careers. If this interest you, please complete this short Volunteer Opportunities Form. Type in “Professional Mentor” in the “Other ideas” box of the form.

Foundation Trustees & Developers

Both Trustees and Developers are needed to help spread our Educational Foundation’s message. With the pandemic shaking up campuses across the nation, the need to raise funds for our students and chapters is greater than ever. Checkout this short video from Trustee (and Developer) Roger Orloff where he highlights why this is a critical time to give. Fill out the Volunter Opportunities Form, select “International Committee” and then the drop down option of “Educational Foundation”.

Chapter Coaches (formerly called Advisors)

We need both those within driving distance of a campus AND those that can coach students and Chapters virtually. Our recent virtual coaches have already been very successful, and we are ready to expand that model. We also have a specific need for volunteer coaches from Philadelphia or those interested in working with a new Chapter at Villanova University. On the Volunteer Opportunities Form, select “Working with a Chapter” and select the “Advisor” roles of most interest to you. You can note “Villanova”, or any other specific school, in the additional comments section.

Please consider volunteering your time. It’s a tangible way you can live our motto – “Not Four Years, But a Lifetime”. Fill out the short form and we’ll setup a call to answer all your questions before asking you to officially commit. If you cannot volunteer your time, but want to give back, please consider making a tax deductible gift to the Foundation.

Fraternally,

Ian Lowe
